Major design flaws for two reasons. The first is because it is a two-piece construction and it constantly came loose no matter how we tried. The second reason is that it is essentially a lever and the slightest pressure on the bar puts a great deal of pressure on the mounting point. That is why it kept coming loose. I would suggest buying a different towel bar with two mounting points.
