No real break in time. They feel comfortable right away with no blisters.I suggest going down one full size because they do run big.High quality boot but it is absolutely not true to size. I went off the Amazon rating that said it was true to size which simply not true.Belleville lists on their own website that you should expect to go down 1 to 1.5 sizes.Good, solid boots. Fast delivery.Straight out the package and onto my feet the first thoughts that crossed my mind we’re “dude!” “There’s no way these fit that well!” “ARCH SUPPORT??!”They would look badass in suede(might take a sand blaster to subdue the finish a bit...) I work around naval aviators and seeing the brown version of these boots I have always loved the look. My job keeps me from getting brown but the black look even sexier in person. Maybe I’ll get the brown for my own personal use. They are a little bigger than I’m use to. They feel as if they have already been worn in, so I’m concerned they may get bigger on me with time.If you have any reservations about this boot, don’t, buy them! I never thought it could get better than bates!A side note, why arnt boots build out further in the back like these for room for the Achilles and heel to move around a bit?? That’s enough of a selling point right there!A1!Durable, warm, water tight, great grip.First thing I noticed was that the Belleville box was a bit rough looking (no big deal as long as the boots are fine). Second real red flag, inside the box was a gray Amazon packaging with someone else's address and name on it (this is the reason I'm pretty sure I was sent someone else's return). Boots were scuffed on the toe with some decent scratches (Not a big deal, could probably be polished out). Laces were half way laced on one boot and not at all on the other. If you're going to send me someone's return at least put some effort into concealing that fact. Leaving in their packaging, not inspecting the scuffs, leaving the lacing in a clear pre-worn configuration. Unacceptable. This is a problem with the seller. The boots themselves seemed solid/great quality. I didn't not, however, even bother to lace them up and wear them around to test comfort.
