Fit: Around a 1/4 to 1/2 size long so there is enough wiggle room that prevents your toes from getting jammed up when running/rucking downhill.Durability: The stitching on the left boot to the third eyelet from the bottom tore open the FIRST TIME I wore these boots into the woods. They seem to be holding everywhere else just fine so hopefully I just got a bad egg.Comfort: I've worn many different civilian boots and three other military boots are these are more comfortable than anything I've ever worn. Including the made in USA Danner boots that costs over 300 dollars.Features: As advertised, these boots are completely waterproof except where the stitching has torn.Break In Period: I wore these a few times a few days a week for about four weeks before I thought they were ready for rucking/hiking. During the break in period, they are still very comfortable to walk in.Insulation: The Gortex lining of this boot obviously makes it inappropriate for summer wear. On the other hand, it is perfect for fall, winter, and early spring weatherOverall, I doubt I'll ever buy a different pair of boots again. I have the steel toe equivalent in black and they are slightly better because they haven't started to fall apart yet. Other than the latter, I would recommend these to anyone.Just orderd my second pair 1st pair were purchased cheap at a milatry surplus. cheap had no idea what a deal i got those 20 dollar boots went thru the ringer i beat the brakes off them for 7 years riding dirt bikes and working on a concrete garage floor with all kinds of chemicals oil coolant ect never will i consider another pair of boots. There are boots then there are bellevilles tough enough for the troops comfort and quality are un compairable nothing negative to say. you can run on ice and kick ball with bowling balls with these man boots. Running on ice and kicking hard stuff not recomended in any shoesBuen productoAfter being in construction for over 30 years, my husband's feet started hurting in regular work boots. A colleague recommend Belleville boots. My husband loves them! They are so comfortable on his aching feet. These particular boots are great for the winter. (I bought them in the hot summer.) He asked me to go back and buy the hot weather boots. And will keep these for when the weather turns cold. They are as pictured, as far as color. And protective for the job sights he's on. They are American made by a company founded by a U.S. Veteran. I respect that, and of course who knows better about comfortable, protective footwear than a combat Veteran?I love these boots. This is my second pair. I do a lot of walking on asphalt and Rocky terrain. They are not as heavy as my other boots and still have good ankle support in rough terrain. I wore my last pair while hunting in snow and walking in creeks. I never had cold or wet feet with a pair of wool socks on. I was rough on them and after three years of using them to spread salt on parking lots they started to crack and separate. The normal width has plenty of room for my wide feet with heavy duty socks.wth is this junk. For $180 i get one boot new,one boot slightly used. You can tell some one used it on a wheeler or its a stain. On top of all that they dont even match in color.Iam stuck with them because i had to wear for a new job today. They are heavier then described,Your feet will slide side by side unless you change the inner sole. They run on the big size.So if your a 14w timb a 13 xwide should fit nice and snug, but i dont recommend these unless you want fatigue to set in at about the 4 hour mark.I bought these for the bush.Iam a Landscape Architect and Master Gardener.Haven’t had a pair of 790’s since my last pair wore out from Iraq. Same fit. Same feel. Same ahhh. The last pair I got was in 2008. Best boot I’ve ever wore. Break in period for me-zero. Ready to go right out of the box. Again. Thanks Army for changing color. I got a great deal on these.I've been wearing nothing but mil-spec AR670-1 compliant combat boots since before I joined the Army in 1987, and let me tell you, these are the most comfortable boots yet. They require almost no break-in whatsoever and fit perfectly every time. I'm currently on my third pair in 5 years, but I put a lot of hard miles on my shoes at work, so for me that's doing pretty well.
